Appliance Removal in East Point
Old fridge in the garage, a washer that flooded the laundry room, a water heater that finally gave out. We carry it out of your home, load it and send it to recycling. If it is part of an insurance claim, we photograph it before it leaves.
Heavy, awkward appliances, handled for you
Appliances are the hardest junk to move yourself. A side-by-side refrigerator can top 300 pounds, a front-load washer has a concrete counterweight inside, and both have to clear door frames, stair turns and porch steps. Our crew brings dollies and straps, protects your floors and walls on the way out, and does all the lifting.
Many of the appliances we haul are not just old. They failed. A burst supply line ruined the washer, a power outage spoiled a freezer full of food, or a leaking water heater soaked the basement. When that happens, the appliance may be evidence for your homeowners claim, so we slow down and document it before anything goes on the truck. We do not act as your adjuster or tell you what your policy covers, but we can make sure the record you need is not hauled away by mistake.
What you get with appliance removal
- We take it from wherever it is
- Garage, basement, kitchen, attic landing or backyard. We carry it from its spot, so there's no need to haul it to the curb yourself.
- Claim photos, model plate included
- When there's a claim, we photograph the unit where it stands, the damage around it and its model and serial number plate. You get the photos to send to your insurance company.
- Proper handling of refrigerant units
- Fridges, freezers, dehumidifiers and window AC units hold refrigerant that shouldn't be released. Rather than a landfill, they go to recyclers that recover it.
- Scrap metal recycled when we can
- Ranges, washers, dryers and water heaters are largely steel, so we set them aside for scrap recycling instead of dumping them.
- The space swept clean
- After the unit is gone, we sweep away the dust, lint and debris that built up beneath it, leaving the spot ready for its replacement.
Signs it is time to get the old appliance out
It failed and caused damage
A leaking washer, a ruptured water heater tank or an ice maker line that flooded the floor. Call your insurance company first, then call us, and we will document before we remove.
The replacement is already here
Many stores charge extra to haul off the old unit, or skip it entirely. We can take it out the same day the new one arrives.
A dead fridge in the garage
Spare refrigerators sitting unplugged in a hot Georgia garage can grow mold and draw pests. Getting rid of it frees up the space too.
It costs more to fix than it is worth
If the repair tech told you the compressor or control board is gone on a 15-year-old unit, hauling it away is usually the sensible next step.
What affects the price
Appliance removal is priced by what we actually take and how hard it is to reach. We give you that number on site, before work begins, so there is nothing to guess about later.
Number and type of appliances
One dryer is a small load. A full kitchen set or a washer, dryer and chest freezer together takes more truck space and more hands.
Size and weight
Commercial-size refrigerators, double ovens and 80-gallon water heaters take more effort than a compact unit.
Stairs and tight access
A basement water heater or a washer on a second floor means more carrying and careful handling through narrow turns.
Refrigerant and special handling
Units with refrigerant go to specific recyclers, which can affect the cost compared with a plain steel appliance.
Water or mold damage
Appliances that sat in standing water can be heavy, wet and messy, which adds a bit of time to the job.
What to expect on removal day
- 1
Start with a phone call
Let us know which appliance it is, where it sits and whether there's a claim. Same-day and next-day service is available, and we'll pick a time that suits you.
- 2
Prepare it to be unhooked
Before we get there, shut off water lines and have a qualified pro disconnect and cap any gas line. We don't disconnect gas, which keeps everyone safe.
- 3
Inspect, photograph, quote
The crew looks over the job, photographs the unit for your claim if needed and quotes a price before lifting anything. Pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, and the choice to proceed is yours.
- 4
Carried out and swept up
We guard flooring and door frames, move the unit out, load it and sweep the spot. From there it goes to recycling or the proper disposal site.

Appliance removal questions
Should I get rid of a damaged appliance before my adjuster sees it?
Ask your insurance company first. Some adjusters want to inspect the unit in person, while others accept photos. If they are fine with photos, we will take clear shots of the appliance, the damage around it and the model plate before we haul it, and send them to you.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance myself?
We need water shut off and gas lines disconnected and capped by a qualified pro before we move anything. Unplugging electric units is fine for you to do, or we can do it when we arrive. Empty and defrost refrigerators and freezers ahead of time if you can.
What happens to my old refrigerator?
It goes to a recycler that recovers the refrigerant, and the metal and plastic are processed from there. We do not leave refrigerant appliances at a landfill.
Who will be in my home?
Our company is licensed and insured, and we are enrolled in E-Verify. You will see the same crew who gives you the price do the work.
Can you take other things on the same trip?
Yes. If you are clearing out a laundry room or replacing kitchen furniture too, we can add it to the load. Larger jobs are covered on our junk removal and basement cleanouts pages.
