Basement Cleanouts in East Point
We carry out years of stored boxes, broken furniture and soaked carpet so you get your basement back. If water got in, we photograph what was damaged before it leaves your home, so you have a clear record to share with your insurance company.
When a basement cleanout is the right call
Basements collect what nobody wants to decide about. Old cribs, paint cans, a treadmill, boxes from the last move. Most of it is heavy, and all of it has to come up a narrow stair. That part is our job, not yours.
The other common reason people call us is water. A sump pump quits during a spring storm, a water heater lets go, or humidity slowly turns cardboard and carpet into a mildew problem. Wet items get heavier and smell worse each day, so it helps to move quickly. Before we haul anything out, we take photos of the damaged items and where they sat. We are not adjusters and cannot tell you what a policy covers, but we can help you keep good records and explain the usual order of steps.
What our basement cleanouts include
- All the carrying, top to bottom
- Our crew does the lifting, the stairs and the loading. You point, we carry. Nothing needs to be dragged to the curb first.
- Water-damaged materials
- We remove soaked carpet and pad, swollen particleboard furniture, ruined boxes and wet drywall pieces that have already been cut out. Wet materials are bagged or wrapped so drips stay off your stairs and floors.
- Photos before removal
- If you expect to file a claim, we photograph damaged items in place and again as they come out. You get the photos to pass along to your insurer.
- Furniture and appliances
- Old sofas, dressers, a second fridge or a dead chest freezer are all part of the job. See our furniture removal and appliance removal pages for more on those items.
- Sweep-out when we finish
- Once the space is empty, we sweep the floor so you can see what you are working with, whether that is a dry slab or a spot that needs a contractor.
Signs it is time to clear the basement
Water got in
Standing water, a wet line on the walls or soggy boxes mean items should come out soon. Damp cardboard and fabric start to mildew fast in Georgia humidity.
A musty smell that will not leave
Old upholstery, carpet remnants and stacked paper hold moisture. Removing them is often the first step before any drying or repair work.
You cannot reach the water heater or panel
If clutter blocks the furnace, water heater or electrical panel, a repair visit gets harder and less safe. Clearing a path helps.
You are selling, moving or finishing the space
An empty basement shows better and is ready for a contractor. We can clear it in one visit instead of you making weekend trips.
How the day goes
- 1
Free estimate on site
We walk through the basement with you, look at the stairs and the volume, and give you an upfront price with no hidden fees. The estimate is free and there is no obligation.
- 2
Talk to your insurer first
If there is water damage, we suggest you call your insurance company before items are thrown away, since some ask to see damaged goods or want a list. We can wait on that call or take photos and set disputed items aside.
- 3
Protect, photograph, remove
We lay down floor protection on the route out, photograph damaged items, then carry everything up and load the truck. You can stop us at any point to keep something.
- 4
Sweep and haul away
We sweep the empty floor, check the stairs and driveway, and take the load away. Usable items are donated or recycled when they are in good shape.

What affects the price of a basement cleanout
Pricing is based mostly on how much truck space your items take up and how much work it takes to get them out. You hear the price before we start, and it does not change halfway through unless you add items. Same-day and next-day service available.
- Volume of items
- A few pieces of furniture costs far less than a full basement packed to the ceiling. We price by the load we actually take.
- Wet and heavy materials
- Soaked carpet, pad and drywall weigh much more than when they were dry. That weight affects disposal costs.
- Stairs and access
- A walkout basement with a door to the yard is quicker than a steep, narrow interior stair with a tight turn.
- Special items
- Old paint, appliances with refrigerant and tires may need separate handling. We tell you up front if something on your list has an extra step.
Basement cleanout questions
Something not covered here? (404) 800-9669
Should I throw out water-damaged things before my adjuster comes?
Call your insurance company first and ask. Some insurers want to see damaged items, while others accept photos and a written list. We can photograph everything in place and hold off on items you are unsure about. We cannot promise what your policy will cover.
Will you give me the photos you take?
Yes. If you plan a claim, we photograph damaged items before and during removal and share them with you. Those photos can sit alongside your own pictures and receipts in your claim file.
Do you handle mold?
We remove moldy boxes, carpet and furniture as junk, bagged and carried out carefully. We do not do mold testing or remediation, so if mold is growing on walls or framing, a remediation company is the right call for that part.
Who will be working in my basement?
Our own crew does the work. We are licensed and insured, and the company is enrolled in E-Verify, so you know who is coming into your home. You can also read over 1,200 Google reviews from our customers before you decide.
Can you clear the garage on the same visit?
Often, yes. Mention it when you call so we bring enough truck space. Our garage cleanouts page covers what that work includes.

Ready to get your basement back?
Tell us what is down there and whether water was involved. We will come out, look at it with you and give you a clear price before any lifting starts.
