Storage Unit Cleanouts Around East Point

Monthly rent on a unit full of things you're done with adds up fast. We empty the unit, send usable items to donation, haul away everything else and sweep up so you can turn in the key.

Good reasons to clear out a storage unit

A unit rented for a move or a short stretch often stays rented for years. Then a lease runs out, a family member passes, or you lift the door and see water marks on the boxes. We meet you at the facility, clear the unit out and send nothing home with you unless you ask.

When a leak, roof trouble or pests have damaged things inside, we take our time before loading. We photograph the damaged items and the unit so you have a clear record for your insurer or the facility. We aren't adjusters and can't say what a policy pays, but clear photos and a short list help that conversation go smoother.

What we handle at your unit

Full load-out
Our crew carries out everything you are done with, from boxes and lamps to sofas, mattresses and old appliances. You point, we lift.
Sorting as we go
We set aside anything you want to keep and load usable furniture and household goods for donation when it is in good shape. Trash and broken items go to the proper disposal site.
Photos of damaged items
When boxes are wet, moldy or chewed, we photograph them in place before removal and can note what was in each one. You keep the photos for a claim or a conversation with the facility manager.
Swept and empty
Many facilities want a unit broom-clean at move-out. We sweep the floor and pick up loose debris so the space is ready for inspection.
Help with access
We work around the facility's gate hours and access rules. You can meet us there, or arrange access ahead of time if you cannot be present.

Signs your unit is ready to be emptied

  • A year has passed since you looked inside

If you can't recall what's in there, you've probably paid more in rent than the contents are worth.

  • Stained boxes or a musty smell

Georgia's humid summer heat can grow mildew on cardboard, fabric and upholstery, most of all in units without climate control. Once it takes hold, it moves to anything nearby.

  • Chewed corners or droppings

Stored mattresses and paper make easy nests for pests. Those pieces usually can't be saved and should be documented and hauled off.

  • You have a move-out deadline

An expiring lease, a rent hike or an estate to wrap up all set a deadline. Booking the pickup early keeps you from paying for another month.

  • You can't step inside

Boxes piled up to the door make it hard to find anything and easy to get hurt pulling items down. Let us handle the lifting.

What the cleanout looks like

  1. 1

    Plan it with one call

Let us know the unit size, about what's in it and your deadline. We can book a free on-site estimate, and same-day and next-day service is available when the schedule has room.

  2. 2

A set price before we start

We look over the load at the unit and quote you before touching anything. Pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, so what you agree to is what you pay.

  3. 3

    Photograph, sort, load

Damaged items are photographed first. Then we separate what you're keeping, what gets donated and what gets tossed, and fill the truck.

  4. 4

    Swept and ready to return

We sweep out the empty unit and walk through it with you one last time, and then you can hand in the key or take off your lock.

What sets the cost of a storage unit cleanout

The price comes from how much truck space your things take and what type of items they are, not from the clock. We quote you at the unit before any work, and nothing gets tacked on later.

How big and how full the unit is
A small locker holding a few boxes is nothing like a large unit stacked to the ceiling. The amount of stuff matters most.
Heavy or specialty pieces
Safes, pianos, appliances and mattresses need extra labor or come with their own disposal rules.
Shape the contents are in
Items that are wet, moldy or damaged by pests take more time to move and photograph, and they can't go to donation, which may change disposal costs.
Getting to the unit
A drive-up door is quicker than an upstairs unit with a long walk to the elevator.

Questions about storage unit cleanouts

Something not covered here? (404) 800-9669

Do I have to meet you at the unit?

No. Plenty of customers stay a few minutes to show us what they're keeping, then go. If you're out of town, set up access with the facility and we'll go over what we found with you by phone.

Will you help with a claim for damaged belongings?

Before removal, we can photograph the damaged items and the unit and give you a list of what we took. That's usually the first thing insurers and facility managers want. We don't act as your adjuster or guess what a claim will pay, so review your policy or the facility's tenant protection plan before throwing anything away.

How do you vet your crews?

Our company is licensed and insured and enrolled in E-Verify. Your belongings are in our hands, so we're careful about who we send.

Where do the hauled items end up?

Furniture and household goods in good condition go to donation. Metal and appliances are recycled where we can, and what's left goes to a proper disposal site, never into the facility's dumpster.

Can you clear units outside East Point?

Yes. Besides East Point, we empty units in nearby towns such as College Park, Hapeville and Forest Park. Name the facility when you call and we'll schedule around its gate hours.
