Furniture Removal Around East Point

The sectional too big for the stairway, the recliner soaked in last week's leak, the bedroom set no one wants. We pick it up, carry it out and take it away, and when insurance is part of it, we photograph every piece before it leaves.

When it makes sense to call us for furniture

Furniture is heavy, awkward and easy to scrape against a door frame. Most people can drag a chair to the curb. A sleeper sofa with a steel frame, a solid wood armoire or a waterlogged mattress is another job. Our crew does the lifting, protects the walls and floors on the way out, and leaves the room empty.

Some furniture leaves because it's simply old. Some leaves because a pipe burst, a roof leaked or a storm pushed water into the house. In that second case, the order matters. Your insurer may want to see the damage, so we photograph each item and note what it is before we load it. We aren't adjusters and can't tell you what a policy covers, but we can make sure you have a clear record to show the person who does.

What our furniture removal covers

Removal from any room
Upstairs bedrooms, finished basements, back porches and sheds. You point, we carry. You don't need to move anything to the driveway first.
Careful handling on the way out
We pad corners, take legs and doors off when needed, and carry through tight hallways without gouging drywall or scuffing hardwood.
Photos of damaged pieces
For water-damaged or storm-damaged furniture, we take photos showing the item, the damage and the room it came from. We go over them with you before you hang up with us at the end of the job.
Mattresses and box springs
Old, stained or wet mattresses are bulky and hard to bag. We wrap them for the trip out so nothing drips or sheds across your floors.
Sorting what can be reused
Furniture in decent shape goes to donation or reuse when we can place it. Broken and soaked pieces go to proper disposal.
Sweep-up after loading
Once the room is clear, we sweep the spot where each piece sat so you're not left with dust lines and loose hardware.

Signs it's time to let the furniture go

  • It got wet and smells musty

Upholstery and particleboard soak up water and hold it. If a couch or dresser still smells damp days after a leak, mold is often growing inside where you can't see it.

  • It won't fit where you're going

Moving to a smaller place, or a new piece is arriving and the old one has to go first. We can clear it before the delivery truck shows up.

  • The frame is broken or sagging

A cracked sofa frame or a bed rail that keeps slipping isn't worth fixing for most people. It's also the kind of piece that's hardest to get out alone.

  • An estate or downsizing cleanout

Clearing a parent's house or a rental means a lot of furniture at once. We can take it in one visit, and if the job grows, our garage cleanouts and basement cleanouts cover the rest.

What goes into furniture removal pricing

Your price depends on how much truck space the furniture fills and the effort it takes to get it loaded. We give you the figure on site before starting, and once we agree, it stays put.

How many pieces and how big

One recliner and a whole living room set fill very different amounts of the truck. Volume matters most.

Stairs and narrow routes

Third-floor walkups, tight basement stairs and doors that have to come off their hinges add time to the carry.

Taking pieces apart

Sectionals, bed frames, bunk beds and entertainment centers sometimes need to be broken down to come out cleanly.

Furniture with water damage

Wet mattresses and upholstery weigh far more than dry ones and have to be wrapped, which can add a little time.

What a furniture pickup looks like

  1. 1

    Start with a call

Let us know what's going and where it is. Same-day and next-day service available, and if you'd like us to see it first, we'll book a free, no-obligation on-site estimate.

  2. 2

    A set price up front

The crew checks the furniture, the stairs and the way out, then quotes upfront pricing with no hidden fees. Nothing gets moved until you agree.

  3. 3

    Record it, then move it

When damage is part of a claim, we photograph and note each piece where it sits. Then we cover the floors, break down anything that needs it and carry it all to the truck.

  4. 4

    Load up and sweep

We fill the truck, sweep where the pieces stood and leave. Usable furniture goes to donation, and the rest goes to proper disposal.

Furniture removal questions we hear

Should I throw out water-damaged furniture before my adjuster sees it?

Check with your insurance company first. Many want to see the damage or at least clear photos of it. If they say it's fine to remove, we'll photograph each piece and note what it is before it goes. We can't tell you what your policy covers, but you'll have a solid record to hand over.

Do I need to bring furniture outside before you arrive?

No. We'd rather you didn't strain your back. Leave it where it is and our crew will carry it out from any room, including basements and upstairs bedrooms.

Will you take apart a bed or sectional?

Yes. If a piece won't make it through a door or around a stair landing in one piece, we take it apart on site and carry it out in sections.

Who will be in my home?

Our company is licensed and insured, and we're enrolled in E-Verify, so the crew carrying your furniture has been checked for work eligibility. You'll know who's coming before they knock.

Can you take other things while you're here?

Sure. If you have an old fridge or washer, our appliance removal service covers it, and general junk removal handles boxes and odds and ends. Just mention it when you call so we can include it in your price.
